Wines of Kansas

Grapes

The fertile fields of Kansas continue to emerge as one of the most exciting wine-producing regions in the country. Kansas currently is home to 19 wineries, which combine to produce more than 67,000 gallons of wine and host thousands of visitors each year. Using locally grown grapes, berries, and other fruits, these Kansas winemakers produce a wide variety of delicious favorites,  including some you won't find anywhere else. Kansas vintners have received more than 300 international awards for their wines in recent years, often drawing comparisons to the celebrated wines of California's Napa Valley and the Finger Lakes region in New York.
